On April 26, GW launched a National Academy of Inventors chapter to honor its thriving community of researchers, inventors, and entrepreneurs across the university. GW Engineering had 17 faculty members inducted!

The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering) offers an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. Students majoring in mechanical engineering may also elect to study one of the several options offered by the department in: aerospace engineering, robotics, patent law, biomechanical engineering, or medical preparation.
