The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) offers graduate degree programs in various areas of concentration, including: aerospace engineering; design of mechanical engineering systems; fluid mechanics, thermal sciences, and energy; industrial engineering; solid mechanics and materials science; structures and dynamics; and robotics, mechatronics, and controls. Program Entry
The department offers a Fall, Spring, or Summer semester program entry for its MS and PhD programs. To apply for Summer semester entry for MS programs, the deadline is March 1 (Non-F1 Visa-seeking applicants only unless exception requested by faculty advisor). To apply for Summer semester entry for PhD programs, the deadline is March 1. (By faculty advisor invitation only)
Five-year Bachelor’s/Master’s Program
The department also offers a five-year Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering/Master of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering degree program. More information about the program requirements is available on our Graduate Admissions website.
