Dr. Barba helps recommend best practices in open code policy committee meeting for NASA

On January 17–19, Dr. Lorena Barba took part in the second meeting of the Committee on Best Practices for a Future Open Code Policy for NASA Space Science.  The committee was established by the National Academies Space Studies Board.  She is a member of the 14-person committee to investigate and recommend best practices for NASA as it considers whether to establish an open code and open models policy.  The committee is currently reviewing white papers submitted by the community.  Submissions will be accepted until January 31.
