Dr. Michael Keidar, in collaboration with colleagues at Georgia Tech, has been awarded a three-year Air Force Office of Scientific Research grant for the project “High fidelity coupling of predictive plasma-wall models.” The total amount of the grant is $1.05 million. Georgia Tech is the prime contractor; the GW portion of the grant is $341,657. This project focuses on basic research on plasma-wall interaction, both experimentally and computationally. To this end, a novel kinetic model of plasma-wall interaction will be developed.
