Dr. Michael Keidar has received a U.S. Department of Energy, Phase II SBIR grant for the project “Software for the Predictive Synthesis of Nanoparticles in Plasmas.” The project focuses on the development of a plasma-based technique for the synthesis of novel 2D layered materials. Dr. Keidar’s team is working with the company TechX, which is developing a new simulation platform for the plasma synthesis process. The total award of this two-year grant is $750,000; the GW portion is $200,000.
